Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA), being the regulatory as well as Technical and Scientific organization for pollution control, has been working for the cause of environmental pollution control in Assam. With a clear focus on the issues of Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP), Ease of Doing Business (EODB), necessary action has been initiated by PCBA to perform and meet with the target of EODB and BRAP.
PCBA has been working to expedite the consent granting mechanism as well as granting of authorization under the Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 and the Hazardous and Other Waste (Management, Handling & Trans Boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 and putting all its effort to regularize the consent to about 10,000 nos. of industries in the State.
