Special Environmental Monitoring:

As per of the direction of the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi, Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA) has been conducting special environmental monitoring before and during Deepawali Festival as per monitoring protocol provided by them. The monitoring of ambient noise level are carried out almost all the regional offices of the Board covering residential, commercial and silence zones. Similarly, ambient air quality monitoring is also carried out at selected stations under NAMP. The report generated are sent to the CPCB, Delhi.

PCBA has been carrying out monitoring of ambient air quality and ambient noise level during Durga festival along with water quality monitoring before, during and after Idol immersion at Immersion ghats in the City/ Towns.

PCBA has been carrying out monitoring of ambient air quality and ambient noise level along with both surface and drinking water quality in and around the Maa Kamakhya Temple before, during and after the Ambubachi Mela.
