Monitoring Network under NAMP in Assam:

  • The Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA) has been carrying out ambient air quality monitoring under NAMP since 1991 with one station at Bamunimaidam (at Head Office Building of PCBA, Guwahati-21).
  • The number of monitoring stations has been increased in the subsequent years and till 2022 there were 31 nos. of Manual AAQM stations in Assam located at 12 districts covering 14 city/towns in the State.
