Mass Awarness through Social Media

The Board has been carrying out intense awareness campaign through its Social Media handles, namely Facebook@PCBAssam, Twitter@PCBAssam and Instagram@pcbassam using static posts, reels, short videos, live programmes, infographics etc. In its social media campaign, the Board stressed on the important areas like – highlighting the roles and responsibilities of the Board; awareness creation on World Environment Day, 2022 Theme @ Only One Earth;  campaign against use of single-use plastics (SUPs) and promotion for use of eco-friendly alternatives to SUPs and on need for changing habits of people;  campaign celebrating AzadiKa Amrit Mahotsav and  World Water Week; dissemination of information on environment monitoring activities; regular updates of Air Quality Index (AQI) of the 5 no. of city/towns of the State under National Clean Air Programme; awareness messages and infographics on Action Points of Mission LiFE etc.

It is pertinent to note that the social media handles of the Board shows a remarkable growth of their followers, engagement rates and reaches, which reflects the meaningful connections that the Board’s Social Media handles could established with the audience. The accumulated Followers, Reach and Engagement across Social Media Platforms – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, of the Board till November 2023 are - 8,209 followers; 22, 08,741 reaches and 16,54,826 engagements.
